Sprouht, whose real name is William Rossy, was born on April 19, 1999, in Quebec, Canada, and he is now 26 years old. He grew up in Montreal and graduated from Selwyn House School in 2016 at age 17. He earned the Harvard Book Prize in 2015 and the Lucas Memorial Medal in 2016. He was also a two-time Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award holder.
