Candace Owens dropped a bombshell on her podcast. The conservative political commentator revealed details of a shocking conversation she had with rock legend Courtney Love earlier in 2025. According to Owens, Love reached out to her with claims about being experimented on as a child, CIA mind control operations, and the real story behind Kurt Cobain’s death.

What Did Candace Owens Say About Courtney Love?

On November 14, 2025, Candace Owens dedicated a segment of an episode of her podcast, Candace, to discussing her conversations with Courtney Love. According to Owens, Love reached out to her back in January 2025 after watching Owens’ podcast and learning that she was obsessed with the book Chaos.

Owens explained that when she finally made contact with Love, she received “an overwhelming amount of information” that was like “a novel.” The information was so extensive that Owens admitted she couldn’t even process it at first because it was “pure information overload.”

“Honestly, if she had sent that to anybody except me, they would have looked at everything she wrote and said, ‘Oh, this is just crazy,'” Owens said. However, Owens claimed that after everything that happened with Kanye West (Ye), she started to understand “the nature of what really goes on inside Hollywood.”

What Did Courtney Love Tell Candace Owens About Her Childhood?

According to Candace Owens, Courtney Love revealed that she was experimented on at the Haight-Ashbury Clinic when she was a toddler. For those unfamiliar, Haight-Ashbury is the area where a clinic was operated during the hippie era, the same time the CIA was allegedly dosing people to study mind control.

“Courtney, who is writing a book on all of this, told me directly that she was given LSD at that age,” Owens stated. “This is the environment she grew up in.”

The Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic was a real medical facility that opened in 1967 in San Francisco during the Summer of Love. It became associated with the counterculture movement and treated many people experiencing drug-related issues during that era.

What Did Courtney Love Say About Kurt Cobain’s Death?

This is perhaps the most explosive claim from Owens’ podcast. According to Candace, Courtney Love told her directly: “I did not kill Kurt Cobain. That was part of a psychological operation to make the masses look away from what the CIA was guilty of,” Courtney would tell Owens.

For years, conspiracy theories have swirled around Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, with some people suggesting that Courtney Love was involved. Love has consistently denied any involvement in her husband’s death, which was officially ruled a suicide.

According to Owens, Love explained that the accusations against her were intentionally manufactured as a distraction from CIA activities.

What Did Courtney Love Say About Hollywood Control?

Candace Owens claims that Courtney Love went on to explain, through many long messages, that “the core of all of this is ownership.” According to Love’s explanation to Owens, when companies or individuals get too big or too powerful, “the people in control send their agents to manage them, to make sure they can control their messaging.”

Love allegedly told Owens that if these controllers cannot manage those individuals, “they will stage some kind of hostile takeover of that brand, company, or person.”

What Methods Did Courtney Love Describe to Candace Owens?

According to Owens, Love outlined several methods used to control or take down powerful individuals in the entertainment industry.

Psychosis Narratives: The first method involves creating narratives about mental breakdowns. “Oh my, she’s having a mental breakdown; she needs a break; she’s really tired,” Owens said, describing the typical script.

Owens pointed to Britney Spears being put on a psych 5150 hold as an example. She also mentioned Kanye West, saying he was “literally just reading the Bible” when he was suddenly forced into a 5150 hold after his trainer Harley Pasternak intervened. Owens suggested looking into “Harley’s backstory and MK-Ultra connections” to understand the bigger picture.

Lawfare: The second method involves bankrupting targets through legal battles. Owens cited Michael Jackson as an example, explaining that despite beating Sony and owning his own catalog, and almost owning the Beatles catalog, he became a target.

“That’s when they swept in and took down Michael Jackson. He died broke, and the very people he was fighting ended up owning his catalog,” Owens claimed.

Owens mentioned that Paris Jackson, Michael’s daughter, recently lost in court and is still fighting over her father’s legacy. “The very people Michael Jackson hated now control the catalog he fought so hard to own,” she said.

Is Courtney Love Writing a Book?

According to Candace Owens, Courtney Love is currently writing a book about her experiences with CIA experimentation as a child and the control mechanisms in Hollywood. Love has already published one book, Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love, which was edited by Ava Stander and released in 2006.

If Love is indeed working on a new book focusing on these conspiracy theories and her experiences, it would mark a significant departure from her previous memoir.

The podcast episode has generated significant discussion online. Some listeners found the claims credible, especially those who already believe in conspiracy theories about CIA mind control programs like MK-Ultra. Others dismissed the conversation as promoting unfounded conspiracy theories.

The mention of the Haight-Ashbury Clinic and CIA experimentation refers to real historical events. The CIA did run a program called MK-Ultra from the 1950s through the 1970s, which involved experimenting with mind control techniques, including the use of LSD on unwitting subjects. However, whether Courtney Love was specifically experimented on as a toddler has not been independently verified.
