Sombr ft Taylor Swift? Sombaddies manifest collab after Taylor’s shoutout

Taylor Swift shakes up Gen Z pop culture after naming Sombr and Tate McRae among her favorite current artists, and now, fans can’t stop manifesting a Sombr x Taylor Swift collab.

So… This Week Gen Z is Losing It Over Taylor Swift, 35, Millennial, Shouting Out Sombr, 20, & Tate McRae, 22, both Gen Z.

Taylor Swift casually turned the pop world upside down this week, and apparently, Gen Z is living for it.

During her Oct. 6 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 35-year-old superstar was asked what she’s been listening to lately. Without missing a beat, she name-dropped Tate McRae and Sombr as two of her favorite current artists.

“Tate McRae’s got a great new song called ‘Tit for Tat,’ you gotta listen to it,” she told Jimmy. “It’s full volume, over and over again on repeat.”

“Tate McRae is amazing. Sombr is amazing,” Taylor said in the interview. “There are so many incredible artists that I love listening to … I’m supporting them by streaming their music constantly in my house.”

Naturally, both artists freaked out. Tate went full caps-lock mode on Instagram Stories, writing “oh my godddddddddd 😭😭😭 whaaaaaaaaaaat”, D’s and A’s extended for emotional accuracy.

Sombr followed with a post quoting Taylor from the interview where Taylor called both him and Tate “amazing.” His caption: “i ❤️ my life. i ❤️ @taylorswift. thank you.”

Then, during his Toronto concert Monday night, Sombr told fans, “Today is very weird for me because the biggest artist alive recognized me and said that I’m an artist she listens to. So I’m just freaking out, today.”

Honestly? Same. The crossover no one saw coming but everyone’s obsessed with, and now, Swifties and Sombaddies are already manifesting what could be pop perfection: a Sombr ft Taylor Swift collab. 

Well… whether it’s wishful thinking or a soon-to-be reality, the internet has officially entered its “Sombr ft Taylor Swift” era. More of Millennials shouting out to Gen Z, please… we are saaattt. :))
